i would say the hospital one because it is more scientific, but if you don't trust it take a couple more at-home ones or redo the hospital one to make sure.

If the test at the hospital was a serum pregnancy test, you may not be far enough along for the levels to be detected in your blood. But you may have gotten a false positive on the home test. Give it a few more days and take another serum pregnancy test at your doctor's office or a local planned parenthood. Good luck!

Getting a pregnancy test with blood work is very reliable.
You can re-test, if you're not happy with the results.
A pregnancy blood test or a pregnancy serum test is a test that measures the exact amount of the pregnancy hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), in the bloodstream.
Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is a hormone that is produced by the placenta. It is detectable in the blood and urine within 10 days of fertilization (1 to 2 days after implantation).

If the home test says yes then you need to go to the clinic or hospital to know for certain. The tests they do at the doctor are much more accurate (urine or blood) and that one will be correct usually 100% of the time versus the at home test.

If you had a blood test at the hospital that is the test you should go with. If all you have had is the home pregnancy I suggest you have a blood test.

take another home one... if that comes up positive go back to the doc... some times early on a test can miss a positive if it doesn't detect low levels of the pregnancy hormone.

YOU WILL NORMALLY HAVE TO BE PREGNANT ABOUT 4 TO 6 WEEKS BEFORE A DOCTOR CAN TELL FOR SURE IF YOU ARE. JUST KEEP CHECKING WITH YOUR HOME TEST AND IF YOU MISS THE SECOND MONTH THEN GET A SECOND OR THIRD OPINION.

I would trust the hospital test because they are more expensive and more trustworthy.

You're pregnant. Pregnancy tests don't have false positives, just false negatives.

The best time to test for pregnancy is at least two weeks after a missed period. Two weeks gives the body enough time to produce an adequate amount of pregnancy hormone, that is detected by the test. It's possible that the test you had was defective- if it was a digital one, these have been having many reported issues of having false positives. I would definately repeat the blood test, when your period is at least two weeks late.
