The "sweat" is condensation from the humidity in the air. If you were living in a every dry climate in which there was no humidity in the air (like a desert or a very dry winter day) you would not see this "sweat".
As air temperature cools air is able to hold less and less water in it (this water in the air is called humidity). Since the glass is very cold compared to the surrounding air it is able to draw the humidity out of the air and it condenses on the glass.
You can do your own experiment with this knowledge. Compare the amount of "sweat" you see on a glass that is full of ice water on a cloudy day as compared with a clear day. Remember you should keep the time you let the glass stand out the same.

It's called condensation.
Since cold makes things contract or get closer together, the water molecules in the air close to the glass start contracting and form water particles on the outside of the glass. This is the "sweat" you see on the outside.
