Does Prime Seachem get rid or nitrite and nitrate too and if so....?

Your tank is still cycling.

Seachem's Prime does not remove nitrite or nitrate, but it will detoxify them temporarily (I believe the detoxifying effects last a day so you'd have to dose daily).

Prime is a high quality concentrated dechlorinator and ammonia/nitrite/nitrate detoxifier, 5ml/5cc treats 50gal. You'll want to use 0.5ml/0.5cc to treat a 5gal tank. You'll need a syringe or similar measuring device to accurately apply that small dosage.

It's simpler to just conduct 25% water changes every other day until your nitrites are gone. You'll be using prime anyway when you add your replacement water.
