why don't you use a bit of imagination and make one out of some large cardboard boxes, like those that washing machines come in. it can be done for almost free. cut and shape them into a cake like shape, paint them and decorate them with various things to make them look reasonably cake-like, hinge the top with duct tape or thin wire and there you go. A little imagination can go along way and those boxes stores usually are glad to give away.
