How can you hook a computer to a tv through the HDMI outlet? What hardware do you need?

Essentially, I want the tv to be the monitor to the computer.

There should be a cble that is labeled HDMI on both ends, it kinda looks like USB. Your Tv and computer have to have the outlets or you can get a cable that has USB on one end and HDMI on the other at Best Buy or other electronics store.
