It's time for an intelligent, competent president of any race and/or gender.

But of course. An African American, a Mexican or Asian or any other race may provide new ideas and a different perspective that could be beneficial for our country. But first and foremost the president (male or female, black or white) should be qualified and have the interest of the general population not thier pockets or friends.

This is simple if he/she is the best person for the job then we should vote them in to power. BUT REMEMBER just because you vote him in doesn't make him/her the right person (think of those american idol that were african american) So what I'm saying is and not being racist is that if you vote him/her in and its only because you are african american as well and not because they not anything about running the country then our country will fail. So my answer is sure why not just make sure you read and learn what they believe in and if it matches how you feel.

the best answer is a question.... is the African-American in question truly the best man for the job? It shouldn't be about your skin color, religious preference, or sex/sexual orientation, but if you can be the most effective man or woman (or both if that is what trips your trigger) to hold the office out of all the given choices. Would I vote for him/her? Well that all depends... What does he stand for? what is his plan for his office should he get it? what will he do for the country that is better than the other guy?
