This is the time for you to learn that you should never quit a job unless you have already found something better.
Whenever you apply for a job, gaps of unemployment, job-quitting for no good reason, giving too little notice of leaving, and other sorts of irresponsible attitudes toward work, will be strikes against you.
The job market is highly competitive. Keep your resume in mind at all times... and don't do anything that will look bad on paper 6 months or 6 years from now.

First I would look around for another job. It is much easier to find work while you are working. After that just hand in your notice, either in writing or verbally. The usual time is a month but I don't know what Maccy D's policy is on this.
I don't want to put you off but most places have one or two people who are hard to get on with. As for the people you like you can always stay in touch.

I have experienced working in McDonalds for quite sometime. It's really fun to work there. Maybe I was just lucky coz all the people I have worked with were very friendly.
Remember that everywhere you go, there will always be "bitches" and you cannot please everybody, right? If you are happy then why quit?

The first thing you should do, is make sure you have another job to fall back on. Then you should write a letter of resignation to the boss and just tell him that, while it was nice to work there, you don't think it is what you are really looking for, and thank him/her for the experience. Make sure you give two weeks notice..minimum. This will help to ease the separation and it also helps with your references.

Hate to be the pessimist, but if you are leaving for those reasons every job is like that and so is life, give 2 weeks notice, find another job first, easier to get a job if you are currently employed, and let your new job know you cannot start till you give 2 weeks notice to your current employer, shows respect and responsibility

If you have a better opportunity, give notice and go to another job. If you don't have something else lined up, keep working until you do.
