If it is summer, I always figure that tomorrow will be somewhat like today, but a little colder.
If it is winter, I always figure that tomorrow will be somewhat like today, but a little warmer.

Sky observation is a means of forecasting. Astute observers can predict weather patterns about 12 to 24 hours in advance. This combined with a historical knowledge of the area you are in can be very accurate.

If you add simple tools, a thermometer, a barometer, wind gauge, and so on, you can increase your accuracy slightly, but still only get a 12 to 24 hour forecast.

In England its easy - if you can clearly see the brickworks from your bedroom window - its going to rain and if you can't see it - it is raining.
