Im sick of it...Im about to walk out on my lease because my roommates are fat and are mean to me all the time...and I have been so nice!

They are jealous but don't hold it against them-they just envy you and wish they could be you.I experiance it every day because i'm thin and my sister is large she acts the same way.

Sit down and have a talk about it. But first without them. Have a good practice session. Then when you are ready, have the real thing with all of them present. It probably has nothing to do with their weight. It could be they are misperceiving some things about you. Also, something might be going on that you are totally unaware of. Have a chat, and don't, by any means, call them fat again. That can start a whole chain of thoughts in their heads that maybe you don't really like pleasingly plump people. Be Brave and step forward. Then if you decide to get out of the lease, at least they will know why, and very clearly so, and you will too.

I think that you all need to sit down and ask them why they are upset and treating you the way they are. The other thing is you need to read your question and think of how it is coming across to the fat girls of the world. Not all fat people are mean to "pretty, really skinny girls." Maybe you feel that you are benig nice but the energy you put out is not nice. It is really easy to say one thing and project another. I am not saying that you are butI hope that you consider this and have a good outcome.

well I know for a fact that all fat people are not mean because I know a few and they are actually pretty nice and some are some of the nicest and giving people that I know. but if you have been so nice to your roomates than I don't know what the promblem is. and why do you have to prefer them as fat? whay can't you prefer tham as roomates who just don't like you. and from the way that you are talking you seem a little to full of yourself and that might be the promblem. but on a real note why don't you try talking to them and get down to the bottom of things.

Perhaps it's a reaction to the way you're treating them? I mean, are all fat people really ugly? Not hardly, you know, just as not all skinny people are pretty. Do you feel contempt for them because of their weight? People can definitely pick up on that stuff.
Or maybe you just have bitchy roommates, and it has nothing to do with their weight. Just a thought. Considering the way you are relating their meanness to their weight, though, I'd take a good look at how you're treating them first.

I think some not all, but some may have a complex about themselves. Some are jealous as well. However, I know a lot of heavy set people that are so sweet. Don't be upset at all overweight people, just your sloppy room mates since their the ones giving you problems.

You need to chill out and talk to them. There is obviously more to it than them being fat and you're skinny! Come on now...they moved in with you while they were fat. I doubt they just decided they hated skinny people.

Maybe they are jealous of you. I know a lot of both mean and nice people, but I don't relate it to their weight. BUT - sometimes, people can develop an opinion of each other based on stereotypes, and this can lead to jealousy and/or misunderstanding.
