I believe each person should be judged individually -- there are good and bad Indian wives, and good and bad American wives, just like wives from any culture.
That said...it's been my experience that many American women are quite selfish. Not all, of course, but many. These in particular are only interested in what a marriage will give to them, not in true sharing, partnership, and love. Out of that group of American women, I'd give the edge to Indian women. Not because they're subservient, but because they would more appreciate a husband who worked hard for them, took care of them, and loved them fully.

Once you're in america you're american no cultural difference can change that. The only thing that can change is you mentallity towards what you consider your wifely duties. One you may wake up and say screw this i want to have my own job and contribute in a equal fashion and not a subserviant fashion, and on the other hand you may completely just want one day to do nothing and become a house mom.

it depends on the type of person she is and the values she has.i am sure they have indian girls who r not the perfect and american girls who have more values and more willing to adjust than them. it depends on the person she is married to too, if an indian man marries an american and expects her to be the perfet indian wife then it will never work or if u take an indian girl and tell her that u want her to be american not going to work.
love is what matters. compromise and communication.
i know indian girls who r more morden than american chicks. and american girls who r so down to earth.its up to the person she is marring.

No, I don't understand why they would be better. Probably depends on the woman. Some indian women are subservient as are some american women. I truly believe that CANADIAN women rock!

Unfortunately yes. Indians are raised differently than us americans. They are taugh to be a wife and be submissive to their husbands. More american woman than not want their husbands to be submissive to them.

it shouldn't matter. it doesn't matter what sum1 looks like or how ur family reacts. if u love them, then who cares? if u TRULY FEEL FOR SOMEONE, then why should race bea factor at all? my BEST advice for you, is listen to your heart, and you'll ALWAYS find the right answer, no matter what the question is.
