Cruise has it all because he also produces and directs so he's more of the total package. Plus he has worked with better directors himself and starred in more important films in terms of their impact on society. Brad is just a thick actor with good looks and he prostitutes himself more than Cruise so is thus less of a serious actor in my opinion. Just look at Oceans 12 - Cruise wouldn't even have read the script for that rubbish. Ultimately, although Cruise is severely limited in his acting (Cruise tends to play Cruise in every film) I do think he is a better actor. In terms of revenue / bankability - Cruise has outshone Brad significantly. In terms of star power and crowd pulling power Cruise again leads the field. I also respect the way he spends hours talking to the crowd and signing autographs at premiers - I don't know any other big star who does this. Despite his weird Scientology stuff, I actually like the guy from the interviews he has done and I also relate to his self effacing approach - he doesn't take himself too seriously.

Tom Cruise arguably is the biggest movie star in the world. His films have grossed billions over the past 20 plus years he have been in the movie business.
Personally i think that Brad Pitt is more cuter than Tom Cruise. Brads a classically handsome all-american guy.

Brad Pitt hands down!!! He has more star power that he uses for good and is appealing to my people, he is one the hottest and sexist guy alive, people still respect him and he has a lot of money. Plus, there is Oscar buzz surrounding his next movie. He makes a wonderful father and has Angelina Jolie by his side. Brad is the man of the hour right now. Team Pitt!!!
Tom Cruise basically flushed his own career down the toilet with all of his antics.

Well I think that there are major problems with both of them... Brad Pitt is with a homewrecker and Tom Cruise had pre-marital sex and now has a pre-marital baby and they are having problems. They are both definately not good rolemodels, despite their looks, charm and acting abilites. For the superficial readers, I would definately have to narrow this down for you and say that probably Brad pitt wins every single one of those questions but still needs work on personal life.

Star power - Tom Cruise. He was dubbed the most powerful celebrity by Forbes magazine.
Crowd pulling power - Tom Cruise. He's as big as Brad in Hollywood, but in other parts of the world (such as Asia) Tom's way bigger.
Looks - I'm a guy I don't care, but I think when you get to their level of looks it doesn't really matter. Their both good lucking!
Bankability - Easily Tom. He's earnt way more and everything he touches turns to gold.
PS, I'm not biased. I don't really like any of them.
