everyone knows that sunlight is attracted to black, so football players and baseball players put eye paint on under there eyes to attract the sunlight away from there eyes to make it easier for players to catch either a football or baseball. many players actually use mueller brand stickers now that look like the paint.

Light is attracted to darker colors. So when players wear the black strip, it pulls the light away from their eyes for better vision.
