y = mx + b

To solve for m:

a) Subtract b from both sides: y-b = mx
b) Divide both sides by x:

(y-b) / x = m

A = 1/2 (b1 + b2)h

To solve for b2

a) Multiply both sides by 2: 2A = (b1+b2)h

b) Divide by the height:: 2A/h = b1 + b2

c) Subtract b1 from both sides:

(2A/h) - b1 = b2
