offense cannot win if you only score three points from field goal and other team is unable to score at all because of your DEFENSE. defense does win most games, most great boxers can block better than they can hit, too

the quote is 100% correct. ask the detroit pistons, who held teams under 70 points throughout the course of the season when they won the title. or ask duke coack, mike schakjfklfjbflklski, who preaches more on defense than offense. offensive produces points but its the defense that stops the offense, that leads to victories. just picture basketball where everyone played horrible defense. it would suck

people say that because if u play no defense then the other team is gonna score more then u.simple as that.and if that team has better defense then u,u have a big problem on winning

because defense is underrated and they are trying to get players to play better defense. offense and defense should be equal (and good) to win most of your games.

because if you stop the other team from scoring ur bound to score unless they can stop you with good defense, and they never said that with good defense you don't have offense......
