im 33 weeks pregnant and last night I started to get a scraping feeling in what feels like my pelvic floor area. Its actually hurts when it happens :( Does anyone have an idea of what this means? thankyou

It kinda feels like a knife scraping my on the inside and when i went to bed i was aching so much in my lower pelvic area. Today its still painful down there and my butt is aching too

I'm 31 weeks, and I've been getting that feeling off and on for about 4 weeks now. I asked my OB, and he said it's because the baby is beginning to drop, and she drops, her head obviously moves lower down as she gets ready for birth. The scraping feeling, he told is that she is pushing her head back and down, which puts pressure on the cervix. Sometimes, they will push hard enough for it to hurt. It's like a pinching very low in the pelvic area.

I would say that you may be starting to dialate and the baby is dropping but at this point in your pregnancy, you'll be going to the doctor soon enough to know. God Bless You and Good luck

it's probably the baby's head moving down, i remeber having a feeling like that!
