Well, I think the undead can mean either people who haven't died yet, or people who turned into vampires or zombies or ghosts. It could also mean people who died and went to heaven and were ALIVE again to live there for the rest of eternity. The living dead is like zombies and ghosts and stuff, probably, maybe. I don't know. Maybe there is no difference. They both are just phrased differently. I don't know.

The undead are alive. The living dead are people who have died and come back to life. YeaH THAT SOUNDS GOOD!!!

Living dead are zombies...things that are dead and in a state of animation.
Undead would be Vampires - creatures that have never actually suffered death, and are immortal.
