Look around at all the people who have graduated college over a year ago and see how many are wearing a ring.

Then you'll be able to answer the question yourself.

a huge ring would not characterize love and affection to any extent further than a small diamond. i think of a hoop is an emblem of timeless love for one yet another- no remember the size. some people see it with the intention to coach off their prestige, yet i might quite have a first rate abode, automobile, and not be loaded down in debt by way of fact I had to have a ridiculously costly ring- the ring is largely symbolic and romantic. Any length will do, as long as you're with your pal.

Where I go to school, people buy the rings but don't necessarily wear them (some do). Its a nice thing to have to look back on in the future, to show/give your kids, and to show you accomplished something that was important to you.

Some of them are pretty as well, ours are quite ugly, but people still buy them.
