I have a blackberry that receives upto 50 spam / day. We do NOT have a SPAM blocker on the server side.

So, how do I mark and delete SPAM automatically on a blackberry device. Is there software that I can buy and install that runs as a spam detector and automatically recognizes and removes junk mail? Does the carrier ( i.e.: Verizon) offer services to help reduce SPAM to the blackberry?

Put a spam blocker on the gateway!

If the carrier is providing your e-mail hosting, they may have some filtering and blocking features. If you're running your own mail server with a Blackberry gateway, you'll need to block it yourself at the gateway.

What mail system are you running?

Regarding the Palm Centro (AT&T variant) Have It, Love it, would not even recall the Blackberry Pearl... My pal has one and it is so traumatic.... The Palm Centro is an EXCELLENT cellphone,( Soooo effortless to make use of,ENORMOUS quantity of elements, Google maps, Telenav, cool contact reveal, and so a lot more... it is simply quality throughout) You may have such a lot amusing with it, finding out the entire cool matters you'll be able to do! Don't pay attention to those Blackberry maniacs....I HIGHLY propose the PALM CENTRO BABY!! :) In reply for your query, Mr. Centro will dropkick Ms. Pearls A$$!!! Centro

I had the same problem there's not too much you can do. Never give out the address the carrier gives you because I don't believe you can change that.

I got so many when I used firstname@domain.com, I then changed it and did firstinitial.lastname@domain.com and that stopped everything (even in the long run, it was more difficult for them to guess the email).

If it's a business email, I would only give that to co-workers and actual people, never sign up for a service with it. Use yahoo or gmail for that.
