you do 16 divided by 2 ( u do division first
(3)(4) + (8) (5) +16 divided by 2times 4
(3) (4) + (8) (5) +* times 4
12 + 40 times 4
12 +160=
172
the order of operations (first to last) goes divide, multiply, subtract, add
if you have multiple of these operations like the problem above you do it by which one is first
number 2
(6) (5) + (2) (8) +14divided by 2 times 7
(6) (5) + (2) (8) +7 times 7
30 + 16 +49=95
