they have said they would go to my party a month in advanced and they still want to got o the dance

how u feel and just work things out with your friends please.

Maybe you should change the date of your party so it doesn't conflict with the dance? Or all go to the dance first and then have the party after? Or the part first then all go the dance? Maybe they didn't know there was a dance scheduled when they told you they would go the party. Cut them some slack, it's not always all about you.

Why can't you go to the dance with them? Do your party, then later all of you go to the dance.

They may just be kidding... you know, throwing you off track, because they are really going to your party, and want to surprise you...Tell them you are going to the dance with them, and watch their reaction...
