My husband and I had unprotected sex on Oct 17th and 18th.I ovulated yesterday (oct 22). My next period isn't due until Nov 7th. When is the soonest I could take a pregnancy test that would show accurate results? Do I have to wait until after my missed period (Nov 7th) or would it be accurate now?

Please no rude answers. I've never been pregnant before and don't know how long I should wait for the test.

you could do it in a week or so, but the most accurate result would be generated a day or so after November 7th.

Yes, in order to take a home pregnancy test, you must wait until after your missed period. But, you could always go to your docter and voice your concerns..... If you are you need to be getting prenatal care as soon as possible. But, seeing as though you had a normal period or assuming so, the fact of you being pregnant are slim. But, Nov. 7th is just a hop and a skip away so act as if you are and take a test or make a appt for the OB near your next scheduled cycle. But, also keep in mind that you can be pregnant while having a normal period..... So, it may not always be obvious. I wish you luck!

Most tests say that you can take a pregnancy test up to 5 days before your missed period, which for you would be November 2nd. But the sooner you take the test the less accurate the results will be. "EPT" and "first response" are very accurate and easy to use but they are expensive. If you take a test before your missed period and get a negative result I would wait a few days before trying another test.I hope this helps.

My dear you should really wait until 5 days after Nov. 7th I know this because me & my husband have 2 children & one on the way the 3rd one was conceived with using ovualation test kits, which do work. If you turn out not to be pregnant thats nothing to worry about time will tell & God will prevail. Good luck in all you do.

You need to wait until the first day of your period.

Not to be rude, but if you ovulated on 10/22 you should have done it 10/21, 10/19 and 10/17. The closer you are to ovulation the better.

It wouldn't hurt to give it a go tonight too as the egg can live for 12-24 hours.

You need to try more than twice, but good luck to you!

There are pregnancy tests that can tell as early 5 days after a missed period. I do not think you can tell anytime before that, but I could be wrong. Good Luck

I would wait until the 1st. They say the early pregnancy test brands can tell up to a week in advance. If it comes out negative and your period is delayed I would test again, but I think 7 days in advance should be ok.

I hope you get the answer you are looking for!

There are some tests that work a couple days before the missed period... look for Early Reponse. But even if it comes out Neg you could still be pregnant.
