And I thought Georgie was a die-hard Detroit fan. You know they will make the playoffs and lose in the first round!

They've only played 8 games at this point (10/23/06). I'm not worried that the Wings might miss the playoffs.

DAfMaNned, you don't know what you are talking about. They can't go out and get more high priced players--there is a salary cap now. The Wings will make the playoffs. They will make it to at least the 2nd round, if not all the way. They would not be the first team to have a slow start then go all the way.

They will go out and sign more high priced older players, have a great season and promptly lose to the last team in the western conference that just barely made the playoffs!!

they have dropped a little but they will still be a 7-8 seed. Its a long season and they will improve.
