I would say, the artist who create these characters know what physical features people are attracted to they also seem to have a wide arrange of different characters so there bound to find one person to fall in love with the character. I find myself fallin for certain VA myself.. the deep smexy ones..
But I also like the characters for different reasons, it just goes by your taste :)

i think it's kinda like this thing where their so into the character, they begin to get a crush. kinda like crushing on your best friend you've had sinse ever, ya know? then sooner or later they realize that it's not as special as they thought. i think it's kinda of cute. I love anime and manga but i've never fell in love or had a crush on an animated character. ok once, but who doesn't love rorouni kenshin? sometimes i look at a character and i'm like "awww, that's so cute" or "wow he's hot" catch you later and happy halloween. ^_^

Well it looks like I stumbled across to a great question.Think about it anime characters look practically perfect.I mean who wouldn't like Ichigo from BLEACH?They all have this bad boy or all around sweet guy personality(I'd go with bad boy! ; ).All you have to do is find an good anime with the personality of your choosing and you'll most likely(99.9%)find a hot guy to go with it and boom!You've got a crush!Hope this was hepful!

well i think the reason people get really hooked on animations or anything else is because it sets aside from reality. people can escape and not worry too much about what's happening around them and they can just let their imagination run free. it's a way to relax and cope with stress...so people who have crushes on animated characters is a normal behavior it's like a fantasy.

i think itz because japenese artist are so good at drawing people and making their personalities believabl itz like watchin real people. so itz like how some people have crushes on people that are characters on a show (like one tree hill..jamez lafferty is hott. lol)

its all a state of mind some people do drugs some watch anime some do bolth (not me all anime) and some think there on drugs whene watching certen animes like dead leaves or cromartie high
