I am so tired I have been up since 5:30 and I have at least another 8 hours to go until my day can start to wind down, I also have a horrible headache. My question is if anyone has any suggestions as to how to keep working productively for the next 8 or 9 hours with out being tired. Like what can I take or do? Thank you for your help

Caffeine, cold water on your face and neck, moving/jumping around for a couple of minutes every hour or so, ice cold drinks (non-alcoholic), ibuprofen and rubbing your shoulders, neck and scalp for the headache, if it's cold outside where you are walk briskly for a couple of minutes outside every hour, soothing eye drops for that "grainy" feeling. Hope some of that helps!

Make sure you are drinking plenty of water. Headaches can be an early sign of dehydration. And it without any food in your body you are not going to have any energy. Avoid the sweets and simple sugars heading more towards fruits and even complex carbs. Also when you start phasing out, it is time to take a five minute break to clear your head. Try stretching, it calms the mind and increases circulation. Another good strategy although it might be difficult, is to try to get a decent nights sleep before long work days.

I really dont' know if this works or not, but some of my friends swear by it. Wear shoes, and put something somewhat annoying like a tiny rock in it by your big toe. When you start getting really sleepy step down on it. I haven't tried it. Usually for me if I go outside and get some fresh air or run up and down the stairs I usually feel a little better. You should really get a little more sleep tho. It would probably do wonders!! Hope everything works out and slows down a little!

It sounds like you're working too hard.
Are you working more than one job?
5:30 AM or 5:30 PM ?
How long have you been on the clock?
Is this an everyday routine?
You need sleep, not caffeine or other drugs.
If you're working double shifts for lousy pay just to make ends meet then you need to look into other ways to make a living.

First you should try to make your days less crazy. Find some quiet time for yourself any way possible. I don't know your situation so it is difficult for me to tell you exactly how to free up some down time, but you could try taking vitamins, that can help with your energy level. Make sure you are eating well and when you do get time to sleep make sure you get good sleep don't lay there thinking about everything...just relax

I have had some of those energy drinks that really helped. There is one that I like called "Rockstar", it taste okay.

Just know that whatever you take, it will not make you any more productive. I don't know why you have to put in so many hours, but its not good for your health and your production.

Take care,
TX Guy
