When he was younger, I would send the dog in to do it. After he reached high school age, it was best to stand a good distance away & poke him with something like a long stick. (the dog refused to go in his room until he cleaned it.)
Now that he is older & moved out on his own, I just call on the phone and let it ring.

well my dad used black cat fireworks in my closet on me once that really worked but I don't know about a fire hazard though.. he also used to spray water out of a squirt gun to wake both my sister and I up. And he used to scream at the top of his lungs too. he was a drill Sergeant in the air force so he liked to yell

Well, bro actually. Throw the cat at him, play MCR because me and him hate MCR! Or play Ne-Yo because we really hate that guy! Get a big hairy guy to scare him by making him sound like if he were in prison and my favorite play some Ted Nugent loud on his bed or room.

I just stand in his doorway and call his name and he gets out of bed. That's it.
