I'm not putting low profile tires on these wheels.

You can get the wheels and tires that are too big and rub against the fenders or suspension.

You can get the wrong offset, which can either cause the wheels to rub against something like ones that are too big, or can make the steering misbehave a bit.

You can get ones that are too heavy, making the ride harsh and putting more wear and tear on the shocks.

You'll find they are more vulnerable to potholes. Something that doesn't hurt a 17" wheel and a tire with big sidewalls can very well blow the tire and bend the rim on a 23" wheel with low profile tires.

And replacing those tires is going to be a lot more expensive.

And lastly... they might go out of fashion. Maybe the Next Big Thing will be 15" wheels with mud tires, or some entirely new tire technology, and down the road they might look as dated as those 3-spoke triangle wheels from the early '90s do today.

You must check to see that you have clearance around the wheel wells. You would have to see how much room you have at the front wheels when in a full turned position ( you could hit something and reduce the turning radius. This would also effect the geometry of the front end ( Camber and castor). To go from 17'' to 23 " would also effect you rear end ratio. If you are already running a ratio of say 3:54 or 3:78 it will rob you of take off acceleration, if you are running a 4:11 rear end it should handle it with less loss of power. In my opinion don't destroy a good "Yukon", it is professionally designed to give you the best results.

alot first they need to fit right (so they dont rub the fender wells) second they are heavier so you might need some better braking equiptment thats more weight to stop when they are going than the factory intended third your speedo will be off and need to be calibrated for the size of wheels and tire you use
