Can you use PAM on your car to keep lovebugs from sticking?

I have heard that PAM works to help keep lovebugs from sticking to the front of my car... Is this true or will it ruin my paint?

the propellant may hurt the cars finish, the best thing to use is a good car wax, and wash the car good at least once a week. or you may want to invest to in a bug shield too. and by the way,
what are "love bugs" ?

I don't know for sure, but it might damage your paint job.
