this is going to sound stupid but use toothpaste I have found it works better than lots of jewelery cleaners. get some cheap toothpaste like colgate squirt a little bit on a toothbrush and scrub whatever it is rinse well and tell me if it doesnt shine up really nice.

The best jewelery cleaner is ammonia, its cheap and usually found around the house. Watch the fumes though and keep it off your skin. Rinse in cold water

yes. but after you clean it, wash it with fresh water and make sure to get the smell off.
