Use some lighter shades...not black or dark brown. There is a nice taupe color out here....I think Nars....or Mac.

Use your third finger and lightly pull at the corner of your eye, that helps you get a smoother line...and trace your lash line.....go as close to your lashes. Then smudge the liner...with a q-tip (dry) or a eyeshadow brush. Then put a eyeshadow over the liner....then mascara....this will provide a more natural look.

good luck

Start by lightly wiping the brush getting rid of excess, Apply the liner after applying let dry then use a Q tip dipped in a small amount of lotion and use to make the line look right Practice make perfect.Neutrogena make a make up eraser works great for this very thing.

put the eyeliner on light and then smudge it with a q-tip. also wear something else besides eyeliner that will draw attention away from the eyeliner like eyeshadow or mascara.

I usually get where I put my eyeliner wet then I put the eyeliner and then dab it to dry it off. It doesn't look as dark.

After I put on my eyeliner , I take a q-tip and trace over it to soften it up so it is not so dark.

Don't put a think line on your lower lid, and smudge the line on your top lid. Put a light smudging of eye liner on your lower lid. that looks much more natural. i hate it when i see people with gross heavy eyeliner!
