You asked this twice so I will answer it twice. It won't hurt the engine but it shouldn't run.

No with the exception that if the air to fuel mixture was to lean then you could burn a valve in the engine .However for that to happen the car would be running very poorly and you would know something was wrong. If it is installed incorrectly chances are it will be running poorly but not hurting the engine.

If the choke stays on all the time it will run too rich and wash the oil off the cylinders and wear out VERY prematurely If something makes it run too lean. like no fuel to the secondaries it will burn holes in the pistons or the exhaust valves. Seen both happen

ok don't know how you can put a carburator on wrong.,,but the answer is no,,,unless you drop something down the intake such as a bolt or washer before you install the carburator.

no mabey not the right gas air mix make sure it has a gasket under it and it is tight all the way around the base

no unless its putting to much fuel in the motor and flooding it it can backfire and catch the engine on fire.....wire meltdown....BAD
