I have a pink spikey wig - almost mullet-like -- what are some inexpensive items I can use to make myself look like an 80s punk rocker for a Halloween party?

Mullet is mandatory. (Long live the mullet.) Ad in some studded collars and wrist bands. Leather is mandatory as well. Also try a little fishnet stocking.... where you wear that is up to you, head legs, arms, abs.

Some of the "punk" mascara or makeup bordered on "Gothic." A little black eye shadow and you're on your way; also try puttting on some fake piercings and tatoos that are anti-establishment. Your 'tude so exemplify the era so get some of the lingo down, "Know what I mean?" Play a few Johnny Rotten songs, the punk bands like Split Ends are good too! 3 words: Leather, leather, leather....
Remember the movie "Blade Runner" and go with the look of the second to the last 'replecant' that got blown away by Harrison Ford just before the showdown & enlightenment with the leader...

You're in luck because the clothing trend right now is so very 80's! Leg warmers with long shirts that you put a belt over, at your natural waist. For an extra 80's oomph, make sure the shirt falls off of one shoulder. Lots of featherly hair and very subdue makeup.
Or with your pink wig, you could go as Jem! From Jem and the Holograms!

Get the most outrageous leg warmers, add 2 arms full of rubber bracelets, blue eyeshadow, alot of blush and pink pearly lipstick - also get some leggings (tights with no feet) and a jean mini skirt.....that should look pretty 80's. You could also take a sweatshirt and cut off the collar and arms and wear another tshirt under it.

Cut holes in the knees of an old pair of blue jeans. Wear them with high heels. Use some obnoxiously bright green or blue or pink(to match your wig) eye shadow.

get some bright colored fishnet stockings!! go to goodwill or another thrift store and get a mini skirt and anything that looks like cheap leather. just look up 80s rocker on google and go from there.

You need lots of big plastic bracelets, then earrings, sunglasses. Bright/loud colors would be perfect. But what ever you do don't forget the SPANDEX pants with big over-sized tops and belts to hold them into place. Good luck!

Heavy, colorful and glittery eye make-up, hot pink or silver spandex pants, animal print belted blouse, 3 inch spike heels, colorful scarves wrapped around your wrists, lots of chains and pendants around your neck and wrists.
