There almost certainly has to be more to these questions than you're writing here. To illustrate a property, one expression has to be replaced with another. For example, if the first problem had said 5(9/3^2) = 5, that would most likely illustrate the identity property for multiplication (as well as substitution), which says that any number times 1 equals itself.

my advice would to go on hotmath.com believe me it helps I was doing horrible at first. I would also not listen to the other answers you get from here this problem is hard
