Intel® Core_ Duo

Without a doubt it is the Intel Core 2 Duo and heres why:

I have a Core 2 duo E6600 overclocked from 2.4Ghz to 3.5Ghz using standard air cooling and could probably go further (if I dared).

I had been a AMD fan and was using a x2 4200 until I heard about this CPU and bought one the same day (for £200), along with a Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 motherboard.......and all I can say it is wow. The core 2 duo E6600 wipes the floor with AMD x2 4200 and at the present overclocked state, it is even faster than AMD flagship model.......the FX62 (which is about £700!!).

Ignore the ones who said the Intel Core duo....thats yesterdays technology, it's not even a 64 but cpu. The Core 2 Duo trounces it in every way.

Don't take my word for it, read the reviews, I don't know one review site that has scored the Core 2 Duo lower than an AMD cpu.

Nuff said, If you're in the market for a new CPU......buy one....you won't regret it.

AMD Opteron is the best but you're not gonna get that in your average pc... I'd go Intel Core 2 Duo.

so far i know its Intel Core_ Duo. But still I prefer AMD processors as well. coz they are as consistent as Intel. they just need brand marketing.

Really it all depends on what you are trying to do. AMD is better for gaming..a lot better and intel is better for office programs, spreadsheets and things like that.
