How can you find a diameter by knowing the circumference of a circle.
e.gThe circumference of a circle is 22cm ,then how could we find out the diameter or the radius?

Can you help me with this please?

ok, well circumfrence is C= 2TTr.
so if C=22cm,
22 cm= 2TTr
divide by 2 so you can get r alone
22=2TTr
-----------
2
so,
11= TTr.
TT always equals about 3.14.
so,
11=3.14r
divide by 3.14
11=3.14r
-------------
3.14

3.5=r

so your radius is 3.5 cm!

diameter is 2r.
so 2(3.5) = d

d= 7cm!

Hi. ALL circles, every one every where, have a relationship of the diameter to pi. Pi times the diameter equals the circumference. The circumference divided by pi equals the diameter. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS.

Circumference = 2pir
22=2xpixr
r = 11/pi

well.
let the diameter be known as D
since circumference = pie x D
hence 22 = pie x D
and so D = 22 / pie

Divide by pi, there is a pi symbol on a calc, it looks like a table with a wavy top. pi is 3.141592... it goes on for ever, and the pattern never repeats. It has been taken to a million places to see.

So: 22/pi=22/3.1415...=7.003 ...is "and so on"

Measure the outer side of the circle.
