I bought an iPod with video(30GB), and now it is all scratched up, I know I should have bought a cover, but are there any suggestions now that can make my iPod look good, like a cover that hides scratches, or something that can take out the scratches, or any policy by Apple that gets me a new iPod(really hoping this last one is true).

Thank You for ur help.

iCleaner supposedly works (a scratch remover, not just a cleaner), ive never tried it though. But I highly doubt Apple is going to replace something because of something that you did that was preventable.

Heres the icleaner website -

DON'T USE SANDPAPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jesus, people are stupid these days.

try using toothpaste-yeah, toothpaste. It's mildly abrasive, and will remove small scratches. Um, don't use the toothpaste with water, or do anything else thats stupid. Just squeeze it outta the tube, rub it with your finger on the scratch, then wipe it off with a damp paper towel. Be careful not to get moisture in the screen, click wheel, and other ports

Also, if you have the black iPod, i've heard that it scratches really really easily; you might want to look into that with apple - call a service line or something. The videos are pretty new, and i think that they come with a 6-month warrenty or something.

have your serial number and receipt nearby when you call apple.

Good luck.

Yeah you should've bought a cover for it. You could look into getting a new metal backing from apple. Or if you dont want to go through all the trouble just buy a nice rubber cover it for them i love my iPods cover. They come in a wide vareity of colors and price ranges. You can pick them up at any wal-mart or major retaier

You could probably LIGHTLY go over it with FINE grain sandpaper.
Should get rid of some smaller scratches.
