how come people who are mixed with black, white, and native american can pass latino. I've known so many people who are 1/4 black african 1/4 native american/american indian and 1/2 white european who can pass latino. An examples of so would be Mariah Carey and Chris Oprysk

I'm thinking because a lot of Latinos are what you just described: of African, Native American, and European roots

I am mixed with Black, White, and Native American and I always get asked if I am Dominican, Mexican, Moroccan, and every other race you can think of...but i cant think of why people think this because if you actually sit me next to a Latina and really compare us, we look nothing alot. Every also think that my little brother is either chinese or egyption and hes mixed with the same thing as me! Makes no sense...

It is their skin complexion. My daughter gets asked ALOT what race she is, like it matters....She is 1/2 white 1/2 black. She is dating a Mexican young man, and he is lighter than her. She gets mistaken for Latino all the time. But there are different complexions for lots of different Hispanic races, I know Dominicans are almost as dark as Africans/Haitians/Jamaicans, etc....It is all in perception of what you believe those races look like.
