The rule for adding/subtracting functions is:
f-g(x) = f(x) - g(x)
f+g(x) = f(x) + g(x)

f(x) = -x^2 -3x
g(x) = 6x^2 - 3

All you have to do is straight addition/subtraction
1.) f+g(x) = f(x) + g(x) = -x^2 -3x + 6x^2 - 3 = 5x^2 - 3x - 3
2.) f-g(x) = f(x) - g(x) = -x^2 -3x - (6x^2 - 3) = -7x^2 - 3x + 3
