i play football so the same thing happens to me cause i got weak ankles. go to you local walmart and get an ankle brace and if it it is really bad go ahead and ask about crutches. just say "mom/dad i hurt my ankle the other day and id like you to take a look at it" that usually will make them not dismiss you right away. and have them take a look, you know show them how far you can stretch it and where it hurts when you do. the ask if maybe you could go to the doctor or get some crutches but i personally would lean towards doctor because your parents would want a professional opinion. if it really hurts then talk to them frankly and see what happens

I did the same thing. Went to the specialist on June 28 and am still laid up. Going to therapy now 3 times a week. Lousiest summer of my life. Better go to the doctor. It might have to be put in a cast and give it a rest in order to heal properly. I waited too long before I went and now after all is done I'm going to be lame for the rest of my life. I will only be able to walk short distances with a cain.

yes, you should get crutches. You should also wrap it with an ace bandage, especially when walking or putting weight on the ankle. sometimes it takes ankles 4-6 weeks to heal and continuously walking on it will make healing time longer. just come out and ask them. tell them you heard crutches will keep the weight off your ankle and help it heal quicker. maybe you could borrow a pair, if you know someone who has them. good luck!

It would probably be more appropriate to stay home for the rest of the week, elevate your foot and keep it iced.
When going back to school next week you might have your parents ask the principal to allow you to leave your classes a few minutes earlier so to be able to travel the halls without all of the hustle/bustle of class changes and to avoid further injury to your ankle.

CRUTCHES all the way! Get pressure off of it and it will get better faster and mend better. If you don't take care of it now, you may regret it in the future.

I would tell my parents just what you told us. Tell them you need some temporary help so you can get to classes safely.
