What's my ex-best friend's problem?

Okay, my ex-best friend, who still thinks we're friends-I think, is acting odd. She lives in the suburbs, and I live in the city of Chicago. Sometimes I can tell we try to compete with eachother, like when we talk online and stuff. So, on IM, she asked me the oddest questions. She asked me: Who do you think is prettier, Ashlee Simpson or Jessica Simpson?I said Ashlee.Then she asked: Who do you think is prettier, Ashlee Simpson or Tyra Banks. I said Tyra Banks. Then she asked me:
Who do you think is prettier, you or Tiffany?(Tiffany is my real BFF. Tiffany was in the room at the time and saw the question she asked. I asked Tiffany what she thought, and she said, "I don't know.") So I said, "idk". Then she went offline.Why is she acting so odd? Then her friend Dan, IMed me, and asked if I thought I was prettier than my friend (not Tiffany, my ex-bff). I asked if he was going to tell her. He said no. So then I said me. He went offline. Then my ex-bff said, so you really think yr prettier?

Then I said:
Well, you've gotten prettier since I last saw you, because I saw your picture. Then she went offline. What is her problem?

maybe shes insecure bout herself or shes jealous that your prettier or something.. and by saying what she said she makes you feel like crap and making herslef feel better

Shes jealous of your Real Best friend, and the way you handle yourself, with those stupid quiz on who do you think is more attractive

I can understand the game of: i wonder what she thinks

thats what shes doing, asking you questions to see if you'll answer them the right way, and throwing some real questions in about what she feels about you.


Stay away from her, shes petty, and if you dont want to be the same, dont talk to her anymore and dont IM her: thats still contact, and you dont need to waste your time on a NON-friend

Okay , I think you shouldnt worry about it too much cos I think shes just jealous that you have a new best friend, but then again if you still care about her then just once in a while make her feel like you need her, or that shes a really good friend, then your being good to everyone and nothings hurting you, try not to worry too much though,x

She is jealous of your new friend. She was probably trying to get you to say that you are prettier and use it to probably pull Tiffany away from you. Its just jealousy and she sounds like she can't get over the severed friendship. I would just ignore it.

this is a mess! your ex-best friend is jealous of you, and it sounds like she's trying to make trouble for you by getting other people involved too.
the best thing to do is just ignore this girl and her friends. she obviously put dan up to asking you who you thought was prettier. and you asked dan not to tell her your answer, and he turned right around and told her, which means he lied to you. don't get caught up in anymore of their nonsense. you sound like a sweet girl with a good head on your shoulders, and you also have a new best friend who really cares about you.
I don't understand girls like your ex-bff, but I do know that ignoring her and her friends is best for you and your real bff.
