I'm pretty sure that he died of heart failure that was caused by drugs (the perscription kind). He was taking (I think) meds to help him sleep and stay awake. But he started to have a physical need for them.

He was found dead in his bathroom next to the toilet, no clothes, like he fell off & died, or died & fell off.
Most stories conclude that Elvis was sitting on the toilet, nude, and reading. He collapsed. By the time Ginger woke up, Elvis had probably been dead for two or three hours. She found him at 2:00pm. The medical examiner's report says that he was found in the dressing room.

Yes. he was in the bathroom taking a dose of his then daily drug mix and either overdosed or had heart failure. And I'll tell you one thing, die-hard fans of Elvis will try to dispute the fact that he was a drug addict but he surely was.

no he didn't....His death was premature at 42, despite alarming concerns about his health. When he died on August 16, 1977, it was a huge shock to his fans. However, it soon became clear that a combination of over-work, obesity, depression, bad diet and severe abuse of prescription drugs, accelerated his premature departure. His popularity as a singer has survived his death.

IT is said that he was in the bathroom and beside the toilet. he died because of overdose of drugs. Most fans argue that he was not using drugs and just reasing, but their version is incorrect.
I'm not sure about my version either!, but i think it is fairly correct.

I askd my mom she was a huge elvis fan and she said Yes he did die on the toilet ..not sure how she know's though,

Yes, he did; from a heart attack. It's not uncommon for the heart muscle to constrict and have a heart attack during a bowel movement.

No, actually he fell off and died on the floor. Well, maybe he WAS dead before he fell.
