He's the only democrat that doesn't come with a whole slew of baggage. He is probably what the party needs most right now.

And Bush has shown that we will tolerate a president with little to no experience or successful experience at just about everything in life.

Well, as a staunch republican - I must say from what I know about him (which isn't much), he seems like a good man with good intentions.

I would rather see him as the Democratic nominee instead of Hillary or Al.

He doesn't have any experience with world issues though and may be a bit "green" for president in '08.

A lot of people like him. I have watched some interviews with him and he seems like a pretty honest guy. However, other than that, I am unsure if he would get my vote for President. His story is great but we need an established leader with a lot more experience than what he offers.

Well; number one; he has charisma; but; we need a leader; not another Ronald Reagan w/ charm.
He is doing well as a senator; but; I do not think he has enough government experience to become President in 08.
However; maybe in a few more years.
And I do like him as well;

There is nothing personal for me to either like or not like Obama.

If the issues are there and he addresses the issues, I would consider Obama as I would any other candidate. I am too distant to make any personal evaluation.

Very impressive personality. I hope he will be a president one day- why not the next....
He is very eloquent... and if he will not prove himself a womanizer like ex pres. Clinton... I wonder what shortcoming he will be famous for.

He has my vote. Even if he runs against McCain, and I'm from AZ.

I admire him tremendously. He doesn't just talk about what can be fixed in this country, he goes out and does it. I love that he rides regular airplanes like the people he represents do.

He appears to be great but I'm not sure if this country is ready for a true BLACK man. He's from Africa, AND married a black women. He's proud to be black and doesnt cower from it.

Is this country ready for that in '08. Is his party ready? What if it were a choice between him and Hilary?

I don't know enough about him with the exception that he is a Democrat and he doesn't have enough experience yet. Maybe he should try and run for govenor of Illinois first.
