Willie was only one of the most famous playwrites of all time.
If you google his name, you will get thousands (probably 100's of thousands) of sites to choose your info from.

He's one of the best and most highly regarded and influential writers in the history of the world. His plays have been scrutinized and analyzed for years. His works include: Othello, King Lear, Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Macbeth, Henry IV, Richard III, The Tempest, Titus Andronicus, The Taming of the Shrew, The Merchant of Venice, Henry V, As You Like It, Anthony and Cleopatra etc. etc. etc.
That isn't even half of it. Do your research and you'll be fine.

He is a major Author, Poet, and Playwright. There are probably a million sites that have lots on info on him. Google him or try wikipedia for general information on him to start with.

Please do not show the world what our schools are lacking , if you have a project due in 2 days and have no idea who he is then your teacher should be ashamed. If you are too lazy to do some research and learn something new without being spoon fed then shame on you too.

Actually, your question should be "Who WAS William Shakespeare?" Well, he was a writer, mostly well known as a playwright. You should research on him, its probably the easiest assignment you will ever get to do. Some hints, "Romeo and Juliet", "Hamlet", "Othello","...parting is such sweet sorrow...". Well good luck!
