I still love my x boyfriend he dumped me about a year ago but we are still friends for about the last 5 months we have been casually flirting and i have told him i still like him but he just forgets it and acts normal again. Its doing my head in i would think he dont like me anymore but hes told me he likes me to i dont know hes acting realy strange im scared if i ask him out he will say no and it will ruin out frendship though :(

Basically, I believe if you asked him out your friendship won't be ruin but the feeling he have for you maybe just a friend instead of a bgr. You have already mentioned that both of you have breakoff for a year, so when both of you are together again the feeling is very different. I think you may feel it as times goes by.
There is always other guys out there who will appreciate you and love you. So don't give up the forest bcoz of one tree

maybe when he said he liked you too he was probably saying it as a friendly like.....life is about taking chances, if you do and he says no....well maybe he is not the one for you.......he is not the only guy.
