what class/race should i be?

that depends on ur playing style, but i suggest starting w/ a rogue...undead, human, or orc/troll

Depends on what you want to do. For PvP, rogues, mages and warriors are cool. Warlocks are a lot of fun, too. If you enjoy soloing, hunters are the best, and pallies are pretty good too. If you want to run instances, warriors and priests have the easiest finding a group. Best thing to do is play around and see what you like to do. I started with a hunter. It's an awesome class, but very overplayed, so I got frustrated at 60, trying to find a group. Then I played a warlock and loved it. I'm trying out a mage and paladin now, and both are fun. I also discovered I'm a bad rogue and a decent priest. So just experiment. Some classes are great from the start, and others grow on you as you play them more.
