They are a long way from the best band in the world. They were ok in the 80's. Some others that are mush better in no particular order:

quiet riot was founded in 1975 by the late great Randy Rhoads(later OZZY"s guitarist). The original line up was Randy Rhoads...guitars, Kevin Du Brow lead vocals,Kelly Garni bass and Drew Forsyth on drums.They released QR1 in 78 and QR2 in 79.R.Rhoads left shortly after to join ozzy.The band split after that but reformed a couple of years later with a new line up of Kevin DuBrow again on vocals Carlos Cavazos on lead guitars,Rudy Sarzo on bass and Frank Banali on drums.This is the line up that released Metal Health the album that most people know(cumon feel the noize?).They have since split and reformed many times but have never regained their former glory.Up untill last year they were still recording with the odd tour.Hope i have been a help.Its nice to know some people out there still listen to real music.Rock on !!!

No. But I do know of a band called Quiet Riot and they are ****. is Quite Riot a Quiet Riot tribute band, in which case they must **** squared.

I don't think they're the BEST in the world but they were one of my favorites in the 80's. Motley Crue was and still IS my favorite band. And in my opinion are THE BEST band of that time. And they are GREAT in concert!
