Do I need a special soft-ware program to download photos to a CDrom disc? Or do I need to buy hardware equipment. I'm pretty new at this, and thought it would be a piece of cake but alas, the proof of the pudding is in the tasting, and I can't get it right yet. Any suggestions?

You need a cd burner drive! You cant burn on a cd rom drive! Keep in mind that everybody and their brother makes these units and not all are created equal! Make sure you purchase a unit that will burn in all of the kazillion different file formats!

I have it working with 3 different cameras and it works great..Make sure you have a CD burner or DVD burner the DVD will burn both disk and the CD will only burn on CD disk...Thanks
