f+g=20x+7+(-3x)
=17x+7

f-g=20x+7-(-3x)
=23x+7

It's really quite simple
f+g= f(x)+g(x)

(20x+7)+(-3x)
20x+7-3x
17x+7

f(X) = 20x + 7
g(x) = -3x

Therefore f(x) + g(x) = 17x + 7, and
f(x) - g(x) = 23x +7
