The first answer is a good one. City Councils vary in size. Big cities like New York have more than 50 (and really need to be called municipal legislatures instead). Small towns have as few as 3 members.

If the local Westland MI paper is online, you can probably find the answer in one of the articles covering city council actions.

Go to the chamber of commerce website for Westland, and I'll bet you can get the information you need. Chances are no one here will be able to tell you what you really need to know.
