Geeks are people who are totally into studying right?
And popular people, well, they have a lot of friends and everyone likes them. I wan to be both! Smart and popular. I mean REALLY smart and REALLY popular. How do I do that?

First of all, concentrate on the "smart" part. Don't worry about being cool. I guarantee you most of the popular kids won't get good grades and won't get into a really good college. Being cool in high school is really not that important. And if the people with whom you want to be friends find you unacceptable with their group because you're smart, why would you want to be friends with them? Just concentrate on school and you'll find friends that are as serious as you are soon.

For one thing, most people judge someone by the company they keep. If you surround yourself by one set of individuals you will be perceived as such without a second thought to even get to know who you really are. Don’t be just another face in the crowd. Studying to get the highest grades you can possibly make does not make you a geek, but it does make you smart and also puts you in a great position to get free money for college if your still in high school. When you leave high school, only your closest friends will be the ones you remember, and they are usually the ones most consider outsiders. Being cool is a perception that changes every second of every day. That’s why most cool things are remembered as fads, the craze of that time. Do what makes you happy and think about who you really want around you and consider your friends.

First of all, those geeks started to become really popular at about 30 years old when they started to rake in the big bucks. Unfortunately to be popular in school, you need a wisecracking image. If the teacher finds out about your image, your grades will suffer. Not fair, but true. Don't worry about being cool, it's all advertisement. Unless you want to make your ad well known then make sure everyone knows your cool by promoting yourself as cool. And don't talk about your grades.

i am doing right now as are my friends. if you get an f they don't say "high five homie!" do the best you can in school. the best thing you can do is be nice to as many people as possible eventually they will come to like you and will be your friend. there you have it popular and smart. also geeks aren't necessarily people who are into intense studying they are people who really value there education and are self motivated. eventually these people will end up like bill gates while your working in a gas station and you'll look back at school and wish you had been smarter and more intrinsically motivated.

Ya know what...everyone should just be themselves and not care what anyone else thinks of them. If you are smart, flaunt it. The smart people are the ones who make the most of themselves. They make the most moola...they have the nicest houses. Who cares about being cool. you can be cool but showing CONFIDENCE. Leave time for hanging out with friends, but let them know you are smart and you are damn proud of it. FInd a balance. Also, treat others the way you want to be treated. There is nothing cool about making fun of people or making others feel badly about themselves. Be a bigger person and be kind and nice to everyone, no matter what clique they fall into.

think of it this way.. geeks aren't only into studying... most of them are quiet too.... of you think about it....... A lot of those yoy call "popular" are outgoing... therefore people find them fun... and they have a lot of friends... though not always best friends... that is an advantage to being a geek.... you do know who your friends are... you can be smart in a few simple steps.....

Read anything and evrything
Take all notes, pay attention on class
study and d all your homework
You don't have to be a geek to be smart.. just happens a lot of them are...

you can get good grades and be cool by keeping it real if your friends are true friends you can tell them hay I have to do my homework before I go to the mall If they dont understand this concept then a) their either stupid or b) their not good friends and you should dump them. Remember if you fail a couple of classes because you were hanging with your friends youll have to take the courses again not them they just move along with their own lives.Popularity is not the key to life, if you are "cool" but are failing people will say hay thats that dum bi**h but if youre smart and you keep it real everyone will want to hang with you because you dont play that dum sh*t, Remember be relaxed,chill make a schedule and find a way to accomidate your needs make sure you have time to be around your friends and have time to do your own studying if you can learn how to juggle these two concepts well then youll be super cool but not just to your 'friends' but your teachers will believe in you more remember you have to have great confidence in yourself before people can respect you.. Geeks are people who are really good at a certain thing or who spend too much time with one thing: computer geeks, videogame geeks, etc.
Just remember being smart is way more important than being popular. Popularity isn't gonna get you anywhere after you get out of grade school.

Study hard. If you make good grades and people aren't your friends, they're not really your friends at all. And good grades do not make you geeky, and bad grades do not make you stupid. But if you want to be popular, still do your best in school and remember, your business is your business. No one else has to know but you and your family. I'd rather make good grades and be called a geek rather than make bad grades, be pulled back, and called stupid.

CiCi,take it from one that learned a little late in life. Good grades are easy,always learn to like all your classes,Be nice to your teachers(not Phoney) Always pay attention in class,ask questions and do your homework,NOW. Being popular?? Treat people with respect,acceot them as they are. find your own unconditional love within your heart,always live in "that",not conditional love/hate, "i'll love you if"
