On the show it always shows the old house being destroyed pretty much intact and all the stuff just loaded in trucks and hauled away. Why dont they deconstruct the houses and remove anything that can be used, such as window frames, doors, good wooden beams, sinks etc? I'm sure there's plenty of other poor homeowners all around that could reuse things recovered from old houses that are torn down.

It is easier to waste than to save. Sponsors have deep pockets and do not care about anything but the advertising they get for the products they donate. Good question!

they do, like in one episode, they picked up a house and brought it too another family (it was in good comdition, but there was a boy with cp that couldn't live there), some of the houses are just so run down that no families would have uses for them
